This hitch gives you serious strength for hauling large 5th wheels. With a 25,000-lb gross towing weight rating and a 6,250-lb vertical load limit, it’s built to handle the big rigs with plenty of margin. The heavy-duty steel construction and carbide powder coat finish keep it solid and protected through years of use. The A25’s rounded, interlocking dual jaws wrap completely around the king pin for full 360-degree contact. That design eliminates the loose feel of slide-bar models by cutting out rattle and movement between the truck and trailer. The result is a tighter, more secure connection that gives you a smooth, quiet ride with less chucking on rough pavement or uneven roads.
You can confirm your coupling status at a glance. The A25’s three-point, color-coded indicator clearly shows red for uncoupled, yellow for ready to couple, and green when it’s fully locked for towing. The indicators are visible from the cab and on the hitch itself, so there’s no guessing or climbing into the bed to double-check. The handle self-resets after uncoupling and can be locked with a padlock (sold separately) for added security.
The fully articulating torsion head self-aligns to the trailer’s king pin for easy hookups, even on uneven ground. It also helps suppress road shock and reduce towing noise for better control behind the wheel. When you want your bed cleared out, a single pin releases the head so one person can remove it without special tools. Built-in zerk fittings make lubrication quick, and the included plastic lube plate keeps hookups smooth every time.
This fifth-wheel hitch is compatible with rotating pin boxes, such as the Reese Sidewinder, Reese Revolution, and 5th Airborne Sidewinder, only when used with a wedge (sold separately).

Just got it and it is a thing of beauty. Took over 1.5 months to get but I do not need it for another month anyways. Also weighs like 200lbs when all put together. Be prepared...
This hitch has worked OK for me thus far, but not without some issues. The Ram puck mount dogs did not line up perfectly with the mounts on the frame of the truck - they were off by a small amount, maybe 1/4" or less. I wound up putting some washers as shims between the side pieces of the frame and the center part of the frame in order to get the spacing right. This problem may not be completely with the hitch, as I measured the spacing of the mounts on the frame of my truck and they are slightly off from what the specs say. However, my truck was a new 2020 3500 at the time I bought this hitch and there's no adjusting those mounts on the frame. A better solution would be for Curt to make some form of adjustment in their hitch mount to allow for slight variations in mount dimensions.
The other issue has to do with the fact that I'm using a Reese Sidewinder pin box on my 5th wheel. Those have a wedge that goes in the crotch of the 5th wheel hitch plate to keep the pin box straight in the hitch. Where that wedge contacts the angles on the rear of the hitch plate is showing some wear. Nothing serious at this time but I suspect that over time I may need to replace the hitch plate.
One thing I do like about this hitch is that it is easy to remove the top part and latch mechanism from the frame, and by doing that I can remove the hitch frame from my truck by myself - it's still heavy but it is within my capabilities to pick up.

This is a great hitch. To be completely transparent, this is my first (and so far only) 5th wheel hitch. Assembly was quick and easy with clear instructions included. The unit dropped right into the pucks on my bed, rotate the locking latches and done! Have over 2000 miles towing so far and no issues. RV dealer said it was a great choice.

This is a great hitch. It's easy to use, smooth operation and offers a great comfortable ride. It's easy to take apart and remove from my truck whenever I need to remove it and I can do it myself if I need to. I would highly recommend this hitch and Etrailer. The purchasing process was easy and the hitch showed up at my door step as expected. If I ever need to purchase a new 5th wheel hitch I would definitely repurchase this hitch.

Its working 100 just fine.
Packing was a little beat up but both pieces were fine. Put together and installed in my 2021 Ram 3500 in about a half hour. Easiest one I have installed. Would definitely recommend this set up to everyone

Easy Isntall, Couples and Uncouples Gre at.
First off the order was super easy and what a turnaround on time. Less than a week after I ordered it and it’s on my doorstep. Good price, information was spot on and they kept me informed of the progress. Could not be happier.
Pretty straight forward installation. Note the legs are front and back, the cam locks are different sizes front to back. Heavy as heck for and old guy but breaking it down into the 3 component pieces made it manageable . Nice job on the install video.
Easy install. Just waiting for the first use.
Shipping was quick, system was easy to put together and install. Works great with my Tonneau cover.

I have used the hitch for towing my 2005 Keystone Raptor 5th wheel. It's a 36' toy-hauler and I absolutely love it!! The color indicators are an added bonus for knowing I'm either locked in ready to tow, unhooked, or ready to hook up again. Knowing I can tow more weight than my trailer weighs, gives me added piece of mind.

Delivered in time frame it stated. The customer service was excellent and was able to understand them. Easy to assemble and install.
I have always had pretty good luck w Curt products! Product was was as described easy to install. Def heavy duty. Other posts were same, meaning boxes sustained heavy damage, but product inside was in great shape. Few scratches but no gonna change my review. Etrailer did price match so saved me some cash. Haven't pulled with it yet, just moved 40 ft camper around. May update later.
Shipping was far quicker than I expected, and the etrailer shipping tracker is really nice. Installation/Assembly was pretty easy, although the Curt instructions could have been better. One tweak to the assembly process - I went ahead and inserted the legs into the pucks, unlocked, and then put the rest of the hitch together. Avoided have to lift the majority of the unit into place. As other people have mentioned, the leg assembly box takes a beating during shipping....not parts damaged. All in all, a happy purchase.
The hitch is exactly what i wanted. But just as important is the service i got from etrailer! My order was delivered sooner than promised - but i panicked only getting box 1 of 2. I called Donna to verify status and within 2 hours box 2 was delivered. Was able to put hitch together, get it installed in truck, and bring my 5th wheel home a week before i thought possible. Works like a dream. AWESOME PRODUCT AND SERVICE.
Superior. My old Reese 16K served me well, but after 10 years of service including the AL-CAN highway, it creaked and moaned when loaded and banged around when not loaded. When I got a new truck that was 5th wheel prepped from the factory I chose the Curt hitch over the Reese, if for no other reason than it displayed first on the search list. I’m glad I did. First of all, the unit arrived in two heavy boxes. The boxes had a few dings, but were in pretty good condition. The contents of each box was packed well with styrofoam. None of the pieces sent to me were bent, broken or scratched. The instructions were pretty straightforward and easy to read. I’m 66 and completed the installation without assistance. I used the formula provided in the instructions to calculate the height of the assembly and the results were pretty much to my satisfaction. I did have to adjust the locking lugs and tighten each castle nut one notch to where there was a little resistance when locking. PROS: it’s solid, no wiggle; the head has a square rubber bumper the fits in the base that keeps the head from bouncing around when unloaded; coupling and locking indicators can easily be see from the cab and provide visual status of the jaws; interlocking double jaws. CONS: none at this time. I’m a happy camper.

It’s been about a year and I’ve hauled several different 5th wheel campers commercially and this hitch is performing great.
This 5th wheel hitch is AWESOME!!! It was as easy as the video to assemble and install. I put it together in the living room watching to Olympics. It is easy to install in the factory RAM puck system. You should use a buddy, it is a little heavy. It took about 30 to 40 minutes to put together and another 15 minutes to install and torque all the bolts to specs.

First tow with a heavy trailer went great. Easy to hook it up east to un-hook. No problems so far. Still 5 stars!
Shipping was fast for box 2/2. I believe I placed my order on June 30th and box 2/2 was delivered on July 2nd. Unfortunately box 2/2 was the only box that I had a tracking number for so I had to call etrailer. Even though this was an inconvenience the lady was super nice and helpful and ensured me box 1/2 would be at my home by the 6th of July and it was. The legs fit perfectly into the 2021 Ram puck system and was almost to easy to believe it was done correctly. The rest of the hitch bolted directly into place as described. I am more than happy with this product and for how easy it is to use it is definitely worth the price.

This hitch is amazing! I have hauled over 30 5th wheels the past year with this hitch ranging from 5k up to 20k. I have had no issues and just requires basic maintenance to ensure smooth hookup. The price has gone up on this since I purchased a year ago but if I was in the market for a 5th wheel plate for a new truck I would still purchase this exact setup and I would still use etrailer as the customer service is fantastic.
This is my first run-in with a fifth wheel, so I spent a lot of time researching as many of the aspects as I could. I knew I didn't want to mount bed rails, so the truck was outfitted with the factory in-bed mounts. That allowed the use of this hitch. Using this setup allows for a clear bed floor by merely unpinning and swiveling the four locks on the leg's ends, then lifting the whole mess up and away.
It arrived in two separate boxes: good thing, it's heavy! Knowing that, the individual pieces were placed in the bed where it could be assembled closer to its landing place. The instructions were very clear, and, before we knew it, we had the mount dropped into place.
Connecting to the trailer couldn't be easier. With the lever forward and the yellow dot showing through the status port in front, the truck slides back into place with a satisfying "chunk" as the hitch latches on. Drop the safety pin into the latch, make your connects, give one final tug with the tow vehicle so you know the hitch is properly latched, and off you go! Thanks, etrailer!

One-year update: weve now put over five thousnad miles on our eleven-thousand pound fiver, and have had zero issues with the hitch. thats with numerous hitch-unhitch cycles, and a few long, steep grades to pull. The hitch works just as well as the day we installed it. The only shortcoming is its shear weight when lifting it out of the bed. Fortunately, the hitch proper lifts out of the spider mount by simply pulling one pin. That way, it can be removed in two pieces. Its still a two-person job, but is manageable.
